Ingredients
smoked turkey leg | 2 pieces | 1000 g | 1519 kcal |
garlic | 4 cloves - to taste | 20 g | 22 kcal |
onion | 1 piece | 80 g | 32,9 kcal |
green beans | fresh or frozen | 250 g | 86 kcal |
Directions
- Smoked turkey legs on beans begins by cutting the thighs as well as you can see in our video. This makes the garlic get under the skin into the deeper layers.
- Spread crushed garlic over the thighs, and place in a baking dish, with chopped onion on the bottom.
- Pour about 50 ml of water, cover with a lid and put in the oven.
- Bake for one hour at 160°C.
- Take out the baking dish and cut the meat through up to the bone, as you can see in video.
- Bake it covered for another hour at 160°C.
- At this point, the meat should come easily off the bone. If not, add about 1/2 hour in the oven.
- Separate the meat from the bones and all the parts that will not be consumed.
- On the bottom of the baking dish to dripping add beans, which can be fresh or frozen.
- Pour about 100 ml of water and add the meat.
- Cover and bake at 160°C for about 30 minutes until beans is soft. Throughout the meal we do not use salt, as smoked meat is salty enough.
